During the Summer Festival, the l.Arena collective gathers a group of 20 young international professionals in the heart of Tuscany and brings them on a journey to (re)discover their leadership potential through the world of arts. Under l.Arena’s 2024 theme “Beautiful Disruption”, participants will explore the current leadership challenges by taking part in conversations and different types of activities with renowned leaders in diverse fields, and attend concerts from the Collegium Vocale Gent Music Festival.

The Summer Festival wants to provide participants with a white space to zoom out from our busy everyday lives, and through music and inspirational conversations, come up for air and refuel. Music and Arts inspire and stimulate creativity, empathy and resilience – an essential skillset to lead in our complex world.

The 4-day Summer Festival during the Crete Senesi Music Festival 2024 will be held from July 31 till August 4th.

"While I knew that misery brings people together, it has been life changing to experience that beauty does as well. The Summer Festival shows the immense impact of context. Sunny Tuscan hills, world class concerts, lectures and visits create quasi-transcendental conditions, leading to exceptional conversations and memorable moments I might remember forever."

Bavo Smets (Belgium)

"I got, and still get, inspired and challenged by my peers who came from sectors and places that I was unfamiliar with; I got the opportunity not only to listen, but to question, discuss and talk with leaders in politics, business, diplomacy and music; and all of this while enjoying exquisite music in mesmerising villages in Tuscany."

Emma Van Roy (Belgium)

"Every aspect of the festival was meticulously designed to foster growth, inspiration, and meaningful connections. The whole environment made ideas flow freely and friendships flourish. The event was not just a festival; it was a journey of the mind, heart, and soul."

Bertil Kapff (Germany)

"To see so many bright young and old minds, voluntarily coming together to share, listen and create, fills me with hope. The concerts in Tuscan churches that interspersed the debates and lectures, tangibly uplifted our conversations. For the beauty of music and architecture filled us with spirituality. An unforgettable experience."

Felix Verheyden (Belgium)

“The breathtaking landscapes of rolling hills and cypress trees provided a perfect setting for a celebration of music and culture. From enchanting choral performances echoing through ancient churches to intimate chamber music recitals under the starlit sky, every moment was filled with beauty and inspiration. It was a magical experience that touched my soul and left me with cherished memories and friendships to last a lifetime.”

Robin Bouttelgier (Belgium)

"This is more than just a meeting of minds. This is an excellent way to learn more about our work and to share your ideas with others."

Eliso Katamadze (Georgia/Germany)
